The Spring Comedy Revue at Quail Hollow MS will be 6pm on Tuesday, April 19th.
The date for the showing at QHMS has yet to be confirmed, but the performance for South Minster residents will be at about 7:30pm on April 14th.
Keep up the good work everyone! There will be a Murder Mystery Dinner for the residents of South Minster on February 17th. Drama members participating in this event, please talk to Ana or Gillian about your character and costume!
We will also be working on the Spring Revue, but the Dinner is currently top priority. Please work on developing your character and finding costumes. The time period for the dinner is 1600-1700s. If you have any questions, ask Mr. T, Ana, or Gillian! Keep it up everyone! You are doing great!
Ana & Gillian are working on costumes. If you have questions, comments, or concerns, please see them or send an email to [email protected] BRING IN ANY NEEDED PROPS OR COSTUMES ASAP! Not sure if it will work or not? Bring it in anyway! Better safe than sorry! YOU MUST HAVE ALL OF YOUR LINES MEMORIZED BY NOVEMBER 12TH!!!
Make sure you have memorized all of your lines, when you say them, and what movements you must use. Tips for memorizing your lines: -Write them down. You memorize things better when you write them down, but don't just copy! Write them down the best you can remember them and only look if you don't remember. -Make sure to memorize the line or last sentence or two before yours that way you can immediately respond and not just wait until there is an awkward silence. -Try reciting them to a friend who is holding your script to see if you can say your lines fluently, and when needed. -If you can, try to also do some outside practice with other people you with you in the scene. GOOD JOB EVERYONE!
Everyone did a wonderful job auditioning for our winter play, A Christmas Carol. To see the cast list, check the "A Christmas Carol" tab. Like always, send us an email or visit Mr. T in room C4 if you have any questions! We look forward to seeing you all! Interested in joining Drama Club? You've come to the right place! You don't even have to act! We always need people to be stage crew, as well as people to help design costumes and sets! Just come to a meeting! Mondays and Wednesdays 4:30 to 5:30 we meet, play games, rehearse, and just do our drama club thing. Come and check us out! If you don't like it, well, you've only spent an hour with us. If you do enjoy it then we will be happy to add you to our ranks!
We only have a few simple requirements for anyone to join. 1. You MUST be passing all four core classes (Social Studies, Language Arts, Math, and Science). However, if something really bad happens in one of your elective classes, then we may be forced to reconsider. 2. Have a good attitude. If you come into Drama club and you are picking fights with everyone or bullying, then this isn't the place for you. 3. You have to commit. If you only show up once every few weeks, then you won't be able to participate in our performances. You have to be here in order to know whats going on! If you do happen to miss a meeting every few months or something, don't worry too much about it. 4. That's it! We can't wait to meet you! |
